Things to know before you apply
- —Vanuatu passport holders need a visa for the Schengen Area (visa-free access was suspended from 2022 and ended permanently in February 2025) and for the United Kingdom (since July 2023).
- —Vanuatu reformed its programme in 2025. Biometrics are now mandatory and taken in person at an approved centre, currently in Port Vila, Hong Kong, Dubai or Nouméa.
- —Since January 2026, holders of this passport applying for a US visitor visa may be asked to post a refundable bond.
