- We collect what you tell us, and a little technical information about your visit.
- We use it to reply to you, arrange your consultation and send updates you have asked for.
- We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We pass your details to the firm that files your application only once you decide to go ahead.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Who we are
Route to Residency is a private advisory based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Route to Residency. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@routetoresidency.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what we do with personal information when you visit routetoresidency.com, use its tools, send us a form, subscribe to our updates or speak to us. If you go on to apply for a programme, the firm that prepares and files your application will give you its own privacy information for that work.
3. The information we collect
Information you give us
- When you request a consultation: your name, email address, mobile number, the city and country you live in, your nationality, your country of birth, the programme you are interested in, how many family members would be included, when you would like to start, how you would like to be contacted, and anything you choose to add.
- When you ask for a call after a webinar, send us a question or suggest a topic: your name, your contact details and what you write.
- When you subscribe to our updates: your email address.
- When you use the Route Finder or ask a question of one of our tools: what you type.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical information such as your browser and device type, the pages you view and roughly how the site is used. This is collected by the platform that hosts our website.
- A small amount of information stored in your own browser: your cookie choice, a session identifier used to measure visits, and, for the length of your visit, a draft of any form you have started so that you do not lose it.
Information we ask you not to send
Please do not send passports, identity documents, bank statements or other sensitive documents through the forms on this website. If documents are needed later, you will be told how to send them securely.
Information about your family
If you give us information about family members, please make sure they are happy for you to do so.

We do not use your information to make decisions about you by automated means alone.
5. Our online tools
The Route Finder and the question tools on this site use artificial intelligence to produce their replies. What you type is sent to the AI service used by our website platform so that a reply can be generated. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into these tools. Their replies are general information, not advice.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We share it only with:
- Our service providers, who help us run the website and our communications: the platform that hosts the website and stores its data, the AI service behind our tools, our email provider, Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces and receives your internet address when a page loads, and the video service that plays a webinar when you press play.
- The licensed firm that prepares and files applications for the programme you choose. We introduce you, and pass on the details needed, only once you have told us you would like to go ahead.
- Authorities and advisers, where the law requires it or where we need professional advice.
- A successor, if our business is ever transferred, on the same terms as this policy.
7. Where your information is held
We are based in the United Arab Emirates, and some of our service providers hold information in other countries. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we put them in place.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. If you subscribe to our updates, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
9. How we protect it
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to help you, and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No website can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please take care with what you send us.
10. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop or limit how we use it;
- pass it to you or to another organisation in a usable format.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do any of these, email hello@routetoresidency.com. We will reply within 30 days.
These rights come from the laws that protect personal information, including the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 and, where they apply to you, the GDPR and the UK GDPR. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live or to the relevant authority in the United Arab Emirates. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
11. Cookies and similar storage
We do not use advertising cookies. The website stores a small amount of information in your browser so that it works properly: your cookie choice, a session identifier used by our hosting platform to measure visits, and a draft of any form you have started. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
12. Children
This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, other than details a parent gives us about children who would be included in a family application.
13. Links to other websites
Our website links to other sites, such as government pages. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
